ROYAL OBSERVER CORPS ASSOCIATION MEETS SENIOR OFFICERS OF THE EMBASSY OF THE STATE OF QATAR.
Picture

On 12
th June members of the Heritage Team, Keith Arnold, John Shere and Andrew Ramek, ably assisted by No 8 Group members David Peace and Peter Owen, were at the RAF Cosford Air Show with the wartime display.    During the course of the day, they received VIP visitors from the Embassy of the State of Qatar.

After the event, David Peace contacted the Embassy:

"To: Embassy of the State of Qatar

Good afternoon,

At the RAF Cosford air show on 12 June 2022, I was one of the volunteers on duty with the Royal Observer Corps Association Heritage Team.
We were greatly honoured with a visit to our ground display by two senior officers from the Embassy of the State of Qatar, Brigadier Ali Mohamed A Al-Fadala and Captain Khalid Nasser Al-Sulaiti.   The officers kindly agreed to a photo, and they requested us to send a copy which is attached.

It was very kind of the officers to take time to talk to our Team and learn of the Royal Observer Corps and its long association with the Royal Air Force.
Please can you extend our thanks to the officers for visiting us and please tell them it was a great pleasure and honour to meet them.

With thanks and best regards,
Yours sincerely

David Peace

Ex-Royal Observer Corps volunteer"
