Cold War Day at RAF West Raynham - 14th April 2024
Dave Hagan reports:
Justyn and myself were invited to take our display along to RAF West Raynham on the 14th April for their Cold War Day.
We had a great day with a constant flow of visitors throughout the day. We had the honour of being allocated the Station CO’s office for the day. One or two ex ROC members turned up and said what a great job we were doing by keeping the flag flying.
We also had several ex RAF members that had served at the camp when it was operational with some great memories and tales to tell.
As there were one or two re-enactors there I was asked twice if I were one of them, but I had great pleasure in telling them "No I did actually serve in the ROC and was on the West Raynham Post".
Dave has been asked if they will go back again on the 6th July for their open day - a great day out if you are in the area.
