National Memorial Arboretum - 16th May, 2026
The annual event at the National Memorial Arboretum, to be known from September as the 'Royal British Legion National Remembrance Gardens'. was held on Saturday 16th May.
Members gathered in the Cafe area during the course of the morning and were able to catch up on old friendships, and, in some cases, make new ones.
Intitially, as we started to gather outside, umbrellas were the order of the day but the drizzle soon stopped and for most of the ceremony it remained dry. Unfortuately, the DC3 from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight was unserviceable but we did catch a brief glimpse of a Spitfire which was obviously enroute to another event.
