International Bomber Command Centre - 25 July 2024
On Thursday the 25th July, at the International Bomber Command Centre, Lincoln, the fourth International Bomber Command Day was held. This event pays a fitting tribute to the extraordinary achievements of so many young men and women around the world.
This year marked the centenary of the Royal Canadian Air Force and their huge contribution to Bomber Command in WW2. Family, friends and supporters were invited to attend the Service of Remembrance and they were delighted to be joined by the Mansfield and District Male Voice Choir, who provided accompaniment to the service along with the Band of the RAF College Cranwell.
Terry and Jacqui Giles attended and Terry laid a wreath in memory of his father. Also attending was Dave Hagen and the Team from the Holbeach Post who set up their excellent display.
